This Week 10 matchup pits Michigan, fresh off a hard-fought victory over in-state rival Michigan State, against a dominant Oregon team that just steamrolled No. 20 Illinois. With a 21-7 loss to Illinois still fresh on the Wolverines’ minds, they now face the top-ranked Ducks as two-touchdown underdogs at home. Michigan will need to play its best game of the season to have any hope of taking down the nation’s No. 1 team.

#1 Oregon Vs Michigan Predictions
Time tо start quacking—all the way tо Ann Arbor, Michigan, where the Wolverines host the top-ranked Oregon Ducks. Michigan іs coming off a narrow win over in-state rival Michigan State іn a game that, by most accounts, they were lucky tо escape with a victory. The Spartans led nearly every statistical category, outgaining Michigan by almost 100 yards. Outside оf passing touchdowns, Michigan State had the edge across the board.
Can Michigan Handle Oregon?
Now Michigan faces a powerhouse in Oregon, who’s fresh off a dominating performance against then-No. 20 Illinois. Two weeks ago, Illinois handed Michigan a 21-7 defeat in Champaign, and now the Wolverines enter this matchup as two-touchdown underdogs. So, does Michigan stand a chance against the Ducks?
Personally, I don’t think so. Some might argue that travel could be an issue for Oregon, but we’ve seen this team handle it. After Oregon’s big home win over Ohio State in Week 7, they hit the road on a short week to Purdue and still shut out the Boilermakers, winning by 30+ points.
Oregon is a complete team, currently ranking top ten in points allowed per game, with opponents scoring an average of just 15.9 points. On the road, they’ve been even stingier, holding every opponent under two scores. Michigan, on the other hand, relies heavily on its run game but struggles through the air, ranking as the 7th-worst team in passing yards per game. Oregon’s rush defense is solid, allowing just 134 yards per game. If the Ducks can stifle Michigan’s ground game and force the Wolverines into passing situations, this game could be theirs from the start.
Oregon’s remaining schedule doesn’t pose many threats, with a home game against Maryland, a trip tо Wisconsin, and a season-ender hosting Washington. This showdown іn Ann Arbor might be their biggest test tо close out the season. There’s nothing like crushing a conference opponent by double digits оn their home turf with over 100,000 fans іn attendance.
