Rush Street Interactive Unveils New Loyalty Program
Rush Street Interactive has announced the launch of its new rewards platform, iRush Rewards. This program is designed to simplify the process for bettors to earn and redeem points, as well as make it easier for them to see their current status.
iRush Rewards follows a model commonly used in traditional casino rewards programs, with tiered levels. The tiers—Gold, Platinum, and Black—each offer unique perks. This is the first time Rush Street Interactive has incorporated tier credits into its rewards plan. Alongside these credits, bettors will also earn loyalty and bonus store points.
“Once a player reaches a Tier Level, they will retain the benefits of that tier for the remainder of the current earning period, plus the entire next six-month period (up to one year). For instance, if a player reaches the Black Tier on January 12, 2024, they will maintain Black Tier status until December 31, 2024, which is an extension of benefits that players appreciate,” according to a statement.
In North America, the operator provides iGaming and/or sports wagering in states such as Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, as well as in Ontario, Canada.
RSI Loyalty Program Could Enhance Customer Acquisition
Loyalty programs—whether in airlines, casinos, or hotels—are popular among customers and are widely used across these industries as tools for customer acquisition and retention.
In general, iGaming and online sportsbook operators that lack connections to land-based gaming venues have struggled to make their rewards programs as effective as those of traditional gaming operators. Additionally, some new bettors have found it challenging to understand how to earn points with online betting platforms and what those points can be redeemed for. RSI aims to address these concerns with a more straightforward approach.
“Players now earn points based on the type of casino game they are playing, whether it’s slots, progressive slots, video poker, or table games. Additionally, sports bettors now earn points for Same Game Parlays (SGPs) based on the number of legs, rather than a single rate as before, giving SGP bettors more value when they bet with BetRivers,” the Chicago-based operator explained in the press release.
Some online gaming companies have capitalized on partnerships with land-based casinos and hotel chains to make their loyalty programs more attractive to bettors.
RSI Adds Clarity To Loyalty Program
Whether it’s a casino rewards program or frequent flyer miles, customers generally appreciate knowing their current status and what is required to reach the next level.
While many airline and hotel rewards programs are clear in these aspects, some customers have complained that gaming operators—both land-based and online—can be less transparent. RSI is working to eliminate this issue.
“The new loyalty interfaces allow players to view and track their status, points, and progress toward higher levels and tiers from a single location. Additionally, players can see their current benefits and, just as importantly, the benefits they will receive upon reaching the next tier or level,” the operator concluded in the statement.
